Wellbeing Day Launches Term with a Gladiator’s Strength
Cropwell Bishop Primary School kick-started the new term with an exciting and inspiring Wellbeing Day featuring a special guest—Steel, the iconic Gladiator from the BBC TV show Gladiators!
Steel brought his boundless energy and enthusiasm to an engaging assembly and workshop, focusing on the importance of both physical and mental health. Students were captivated as Steel shared his journey as a Gladiator and introduced his innovative Zactivity scheme, which promotes a balanced approach to healthy living.
The Zactivity scheme encourages children to stay active, eat healthily, and develop strategies for positive mental health. During the workshop, students participated in a series of fun, interactive activities designed to highlight the value of teamwork, resilience, and self-care. Steel’s motivational message emphasized the importance of building both inner and outer strength to tackle life’s challenges.
The day set the tone for a term focused on wellbeing and encouraged everyone to start the year on a healthy and positive note. Students left the assembly brimming with excitement, ready to take on Steel’s challenge to live healthily and think positively.
Thank you, Steel, for visiting Cropwell Bishop Primary School and empowering our students to be their strongest selves—inside and out!
