JRSO Lead the Way with 'Be Safe, Be Seen' Assembly
This morning at Cropwell Bishop Primary School, our Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSO) delivered an important and engaging assembly focused on the message: “Be Safe, Be Seen.”
As the winter months bring darker mornings and afternoons, the JRSO team emphasised the importance of staying visible near roads. They encouraged everyone to wear high-visibility jackets, reflective armbands, and other bright clothing to ensure they can be seen by drivers.
The assembly included:
- Tips for Staying Safe: Suggestions such as walking in well-lit areas and using pedestrian crossings.
- Demonstrations: Examples of high-visibility items and how reflective materials work under light.
- Interactive Questions: Engaging the audience with questions to test their road safety knowledge.
The JRSOs reminded everyone that a simple reflective accessory could make all the difference in being noticed by drivers during low light conditions.
We are proud of our JRSOs for taking the lead on such an important issue and for encouraging their peers to stay safe. Well done to the team for a fantastic assembly!
Let’s all remember to “Be Safe, Be Seen” as we move into winter.
